Welcome!

My name is Tammy Zelez and I am the founder and Editor In Chief of The mUse Magazine. As a member of the Gen X Club, I grew up reading magazines. I bought copies to find the latest scoop on my favorite heart throbs and put their posters on my wall. I wanted to stay up to date with my horoscope to see if the universe was actually going to pair me with my celebrity crush.

As I got older, I read my fair share of celebrity gossip and loved spending hours working on crossword puzzles. I found some of my favorite fiction books through the pages of magazines. They were quick reads that were perfect for laying out by the pool or while traveling.

As an entrepreneur, I wanted a magazine where I could find ways to grow and succeed in my business. I wanted to learn about marketing, financials, self-confidence, style, and not have to buy 10 different magazines or scroll through thousands of social feeds. So I decided to create it myself. But with a twist. I wanted this magazine to feature U. The everyday entrepreneur. The woman who is just starting or growing her business. The woman who is passionate and wants to make a difference in her community. The woman who wants to learn from other empowering women that are just like her. A woman who I could help promote to expand her bandwidth outside her local borders through pages and not screens.

I created The mUse to be a publication where women feel connected to one another, where they can be celebrated and empowered. Where they can be seen.

The celebrity in this magazine is U. We are learning from U, growing with U, and promoting U. There are millions of entrepreneurial women who deserve to be recognized and that is why I started this magazine.

Over the last decade or so, print sales have not been what they once were. Digital is consuming the market and I started to see that as a problem. We spend so much time on screens, I feel we are losing human connection. Have you ever wondered if what you are looking at is real or AI generated? You're not the only one.

My hope is that U, our readers, learn, grow, and become inspired by the women in this magazine. To know that U too can also be on the pages of The mUse. We aren't just writing articles, we are a family of women here to support your journey one issue at a time.
